A. Venkat Subrahmanyam is the visionary founder of Deepak Nexgen Feeds Pvt Ltd. With over 25 years of deep-rooted experience in the Indian aquaculture industry, he identified the gap for high-quality, locally-manufactured floating fish feed and built Kingfish into India's #1 brand. His farmer-first philosophy - 'every decision must improve farmer profitability' - remains the company's guiding principle.
The Journey
Starting his career in aquaculture in the 1990s, Mr. Subrahmanyam worked across the value chain - from hatchery operations to feed distribution - gaining unparalleled insights into farmer needs. In 2012, he established Deepak Nexgen Feeds, initially with a single production line. Under his leadership, the company grew to 5,10,000 MTPA capacity and ₹1,870 Crore revenue in just 12 years.
